Waitrose, a UK-based supermarket chain, is recalling its Channel Island Hazelnut Yogurt as it may contain almonds and walnuts, which are not mentioned on the label, according to the Food Standards Agency (FSA).

The product subject to recall include Waitrose Channel Island Hazelnut Yogurt with a Use By date of 28 January 2013. The FSA noted that the product is a possible health risk to anyone who is allergic or sensitive to almonds or walnuts.

Customer notices will be displayed in stores to alert consumers to the recall. The company has also contacted the relevant allergy support organizations, which will warn the customers about the recall.

Consumers allergic to almonds and walnuts are requested not to consume the product and to return it for a full refund, if purchased.
